21: Trent Schara of Atomic Custom

Like the tempermental transmissions and finicky magnetos you'll find on nearly every custom that bears his Atomic moniker, Trent Schara should be handled with care, and only then by those in the know. Posers may decry Schara's favored parts as the technology of the damned, but Atomic Trent sings their praises with masochistic glee and dismisses the derision of douchebags with a cynical, knowing grin. Acerbic? Absolutely. Opinionated? Of course. But if you're lucky enough to ride with Trent Schara and man enough to keep up with him, if you reach your destination in one piece you'll probably have a new best friend.

Name: Trent Schara

Age: 38

Business: Atomic Custom

Everywhere you look in Trent's crowded but tidy garage you'll find old iron in various stages of repair.

Town: Edgewood, NM

Coworkers: None

Riding buddies: A couple

First time on two wheels: I was three years old, and I’ve never stopped or looked back

First hand-built motorcycle: That’s a tough one—I grew up on bikes and I’ve worked on them all

Earliest two-wheeled adventure: Fifth grade. Weekend camping adventures

Most recent two-wheeled adventure: Scouting for Ground Zero camp spots last weekend

Mr. Schara's annual chopper pilgrammage is the Ground Zero Throwdown In Albuquerque, NM. If you've got the sack for his brand of motorcycle mayhem, Atomic Trent's Throwdown is always a good time.

I'm priviledged to say that I am the proud owner of an Atomic Custom motorbike and consider Trent to be a good friend but he beats people up for fun and his ever-changing facial hair frightens me.
