Warren Heir and Scott Johnson, originators of the Mama Tried Motorcycle Show, have come a long way since their first show at the Candy factory and the shows at the Lindsay Bros. Bldg. They seem to have found a home at The Rave/ Eagles Ballroom on the west end of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Just in case you haven’t heard, this is an invitational show where they host a wide variety of makes and models from all across the country. I find it ironic that the pandemic started the day before the 2020 show and ended before the 2022 show.
Lucky for us, this event survived, and we have another reason to get together with old friends and a special opportunity to make new friends and talk about the gathering of motorcycles the crew has assembled in the Ballroom.
A big part of the weekend is the Flat Out Friday motorcycle races at The Fiserv Forum. More than a few hundred racers hit the syrup track and give it their all. Hosted by Jeremy Prach and presented by Harley-Davidson motorcycles. There’s a class for everyone, but the one that gets the most attention is the Goofball Man race and the kids bicycle race. This is definitely fun for the whole family, racing on Friday, the bike show on Saturday and Sunday.
Whatever your pleasure in motorcycles, you're bound to find something that will get your attention at Mama Tried motorcycle show on February 18-19th, 2023. Be sure to check out their website to get involved.
