Saw this in another group but don't think anyone was in the group anymore and it made me want to know for my self. So I know myself, Cornilius and Squirts all ride with the VFW and I know there is a bunch of other groups out there. Like the Combat Vets, VMC, Combat Brotherhood, Legion Riders, etc. so do any of you guys here ride with any groups?

I don't ride with any "group" or "club" but do ride in a non patched group of like minded "old bastards".

I ride with the local kawasaki group because those guys have something going on once a month. I'm trying to get a chop cult northwest region ride and camp event put together this summer, and starting in the spring I'm going to start getting the local chop cult guys together and ride once a month.

thats cool. During the summer we have something going on just about every weekend. weather its a poker run or some benifit thing or just us going to the veterns home to talk with old timers we stay pretty busy. even during the winter if its a somewhat nice day on a weekend I got my phone going crazy with people trying to get together for a ride somewhere.

I'm with Gyro. Between tha' ABATE chapter and tha' VFW Riders, my weekends stay pretty busy. Jus' did a New Years day ride today with tha' ABATE chapter... 20 degrees before wind chill... It's all in my mind, right!? =)

That's cool. I have been meaning to check out the Legion Riders out here. They seem to be pretty active. Oh an to rely to Gyro's question on the front page. I have been out enjoying the glorious San Diego winter riding weather.

I am a member of the CVMA, have been for years, good group of folks, lot of events to ride to if one wants to, we are an association not a RC or MC. We are a non profit and our main goal is supporting the Fisher House.

Thought about joining the local American Legion and I've been scoping out their FB page off and on and I hate to say it but it looks like a bunch of HOG members that have Legion patches that go for runs to some "remote" Stinky Pinky Gulp N' Guzzle Big Rig Snooze-A-Stop and occasionally participate in PGR things. Maybe I'll pay out the $25 to join and attend a meeting or two before passing judgement.

yeah like I said I ride with the VFW group here and it is pretty much a bunch of old fuckers that are hog members. I am always having to explain why I would do some thing like that to my bike. but they are still all really good dudes and all veterans of one war or another. lot of cool old war stories to share. plus we do a lot of chairity work and help a lot of other vets in need so its cool.

Thats about the only reason I'd hang with some of these guys, but I've got a lot on my plate with a newborn in the house and work stuff. I'll give them a shot and if I don't like it nothing says I have to stick around.
