heres another tip.. Palomar Mtn off the 76 has too much traffic and too many cops. Let the sportbikers have it. Instead, sack up and take Nate Harrison Grade off the 76 (just 1/2 mile past Cole Grade Rd.) This is a fire truck access rd and is maintained by CalTrans. Its dirt, and is better suited for enduro type bikes but I think its rideable for most of us in the summer when its not raining/snowing and the dirt is dry.. Cant beat the view! Theres a couple turnouts where people go to shoot that you can pull over and take a break and enjoy the view. Nate Harrison Grade eventually enters state park area (you'll see signs), and takes you right into the center of town where the general store is. From there, you can go back down Palomar Mtn if your vagina hurts.

I recently did the 94 east to dulzura It was pretty nice. BP check point kinda sucked. traffic, but the rest was really nice.
And if you head east on Olde highway 80 you can take Harbison Canyon Rd threw Dehesa and back into El Cajon. Its only about 20 miles but its really nice for a short ride

I recently took old old 94 out to the 80 on out to the 8 to imperial hyw. It was hot as hell once I hit the 8 but a damn nice ride. I ride Old 94 a lot but never went all the way out to the 8 via 80. It was a nice test ride after fixing my ignition problem.
