Hey Kent, I know I've seen that bike quite a bit on Vstar 1100 riders...

Thanks for the compliment. No, the rear fender is a paughco flat fender that I mounted to the swing arm and made a strut for. Thats about the only thing I on the bike I didnt build. I built the bars, battery box, fake oil bag/electrical box, tag bracket, and a bunch of other things I cant remember. Im working on a new gas tank right now. Also I built a suicide clutch jockey shift setup that I ran for a bit but wasnt entirely happy with it so I took it off to redo some stuff.

Here's my '02 650 Classic. It's not completely done yet, but this is how it looks right now. Soon to have 13" apes, white walls, and real paint since that gold is just a rattle can job I did. Still doesn't look too bad though!

I don't see much wrong with the gold...I think you could do your fork uppers, the headlight bucket
and any chrome sidecovers in the same paint.Ties the whole bike together. If you do WWW's you might think about only doing the back, or doing the back wide and the front narrow sidewall.

Mine is an '05 1100. As it sits now it has been jetted, converted to pod filters, foot controls moved forward 2 ", a set of pullback drags, adjustable lowering kit, paint flames are tipped in chameleon purple, a rear fender rib I made, custom pipes I did....hell, I did everything but the paint on the flame tips. It's probably gonna get a remake sometime this year. I'm getting bored with the look.

Thanks for the tip! I think I am actually going to go with the WWW on the rear and the narrow on the front. I'd like to get a bigger rim on the front first so we'll see. Might possibly take those uppers off if i do that. The color isn't bad so i'll probably keep it.. I just wanna re-do it and take a little more time on it instead of getting super pumped about it and rushing myself. The headlight bucket is getting painted too.

..Anything I suggested painting gold could just as well be black.
Probably gold components would have a euro/oriental feel, black more 'merican
