    XLH flywheel removal

While I was taking my 74 XLH apart today, I realized that there is a crack in the casing. I guess the best way to repair this is by having it heli-arced. But I don't know how to get the Flywheel out of the left hand side of the case. Does anyone know how to do this? I should reference my manual, but I am working out of my school, and things have a way of walking away on there own. Insight?!

You can see the crack stemming from the bolt hole.

The sprocket shaft has a set of tapered bearings on it. They are pressed on.

          press it out

the timken bearing is pressed on the sproket shaft (left engine shaft) and must be pressed off. then the bearings races and spacers will have to be replaced with a set that is matched and pre-clearanced. JIMS makes tools to remove the races from the case and to install the new ones.
