Been on CC for awhile, but never posted. Figured its time. From central Mass. I've got an '87 Sporty project that has been on hold sitting in storage the last couple years. Finally got some garage space where i'm renting right now for the bike and tools so I'm hoping to plug away at this thing and get it going.

I'll try and post a build thread sometime soon with some more recent pictures and progress.

New guy checking in. Heard about the CC all over the place, figured I'd better get in here and connect with the two-wheeled world. I've run into members during my travels, and from what I've seen, great folks. Been living in WHYoming 7 years, riding something since I was a lad. Originally from Long Beach, CA. Spent a lot of time with my Granddad in the Mojave and Elsinore in the '70s watching him ride Bultaco and Hodaka dirt bikes (I still have his desert leathers). That's where the bug bit me. Wasn't until about 5 years ago I got into road bikes, and I haven't looked back. Absotively LOVE it, and have met some awesome people because of it. Currently on a High Noon that I haven't stopped tinkering on since I got it. There's several ground-up projects spread throughout my garage too.

See out there.

My name is Pawel. I've been hanging out on this site for a while now picked up some great tips from the people posting on here. After I went down last year and finally decided to get back onto 2 wheels I decided to pick up an older Shadow and decided to "modify" it. All I'm waiting for is my paint to come in then once the paint job is done before and after pics will be posted. Cheers.

New to Forum. Don't let the username fool you.

Hello,

Long time Rider / Builder. Started in the 70's with Bridgestone, Benelli and Honda CA's. Moved onto Suzuki GT's and GS's after college. Then spent some time with KZ's.

Kids and Career thinned the motorcycles until the late 90's and seriously started riding again. I rode daily up until Sept 2006 when my luck ran out. A Female cager crossed centerlane and my injuries were extensive with part of my right posterior leg lost to a barbed wire fence. The Moto Guzzi 500 was a complete loss.

Up until that time I'd finished restoring a couple motorcycles including a 1982 KZ1000R1 Eddie Lawson Replica (Yes a real one) and a 1979 GS1000 Wes Cooley replica.
I also had a few newer Motocycle being garage queens.
1999 Triumph Sprint ST
2001 Big Dog Pit Bull
2006 Paul Smart Ducati 1000
2007 BMW Boxer Cup
1999 Moto Guzzi Bassa
2004 Moto Guzzi Rossa Sport.
Sorry those were bought not built. Don't hold those against me.
My teenage son had also restored a couple smaller Suzuki's
1972 TS185 Sierra
1974 GT250 Hustler

A divorce/depression and injuries caused the liquidation of most of my sweethearts.
Now things are better and professionally I'm where I need to be. Building again.
Last year it was a 1980 XS850 named "XXXS" and Now "TurboMax"
My building style is different than others. Not sure how one would classify the bikes. Cafe Racer/Bobber/Bastard/Cheap? I do all my own work including powdercoating.

Pics of some lost beauties. I'll start a build thread of My current project.

The Current Project;
1981 Yamaha Maxim with Turbo.

I'll be around awhile. If you have any questions please let me know. I'll check out everyones cool builds.

newbie here spokane washington

Hello everyone. Getting familiar with the site as i heard this was a great resource. My current project is a chopped 1973 tx650 straight from the seventies that needs lots of work. I have been away from bikes for quite a few years now but the kid is bigger now and i thought it was about to get dirty again. I have owned xs650's and cb750's, stock and chopped. A virago. A chopped norton commando and a gl550 silverwing. I will post some pics as soon as i get more familiar here.

new here, I have a 76 project hardtail shovelhead, and bought my wife a 71 BSA hardtail project, working on as time & money allows, found this site looking for information for the BSA.

not bad on fabricating my own parts, pretty well versed on shovels, however dont know anything about BSA, so I have alot of learning to do.

Good morning,

Been riding for some time and always wanted to build out my own bike. Just picked up a 2005 Sporty 883L.

You guys seem like you have a lot to offer.

Looking forward to the project.
