Thought I'd share with everyone what I've been putting my spare change towards

'79 650. The add sounded like a great deal.... 'xs650 special, runner 600$'
when i showed up to check it out, the bike was under a pile of other bikes and junk.. two flat cracked tires, no engine in the bike, no seat.... I ended up finding the matching # motor in a pile of stuff, and he gave me a spare 650 engine to use for parts if needed.... he threw in the jawa/cz tank and some extras... 400 with og numbers and all the papers


this is the day i brought it all home


and this is where she'll be staying for now. as much as i wanted to do a king an queen, big sissy and taller bars, this tank sits nice and low and i want to use it, so its going to stay low.

I have a lot of ideas kickin' around in my head, and in a month or so I start a 5 month welding course. Hoping to make most of the things I want in class. Until then, ill keep planning

Yup, its a TC bros hardtail section. There are a few things I don't love about it, but for the quality and price it's great.

what in particular are you not too keen on? I pretty happy with mine, It went straight on,no problems.

I dont like the bends on the top tubes of the tail. the look a bit 'wonky' to me..... ill describe it better when i piss out some makers mark

did some drawings today of just the chasis to see what i liked the idea of most... i wanted to use that tank from my mock up pics, but, i might save it for something else.

Number 1. I too have a hard on for those sleaze machines. But number 2 is super super clean. Buy another. Build em both.
