Run the sissy bar. You'll be happy you did without realizing it until you stop to think "Where am I going to ties this road bag to?"

Hahaha, zip ties are mostly for mock up. 1/2 of the black ones will remain, but it's all gonna come back off when I spray the frame so I left it all together.

Yes, Suction cup Pussy Pad and rear pegs are Def in the plans. My son loves Bikes, I cant wait till he's big enough to ride with me.

I took a the picture with and the picture with out and put them together and just stared at them...I like the look also with the functionality, it is a big +. So I decided... Sissy bar is Staying!

I've been picking up the last of the connectors and bolts I needed, this last week. I should have her wires 100% and all mocked up today / tomorrow.

I gotta Start my Exhaust, I have my piping, but by the time I get off work it's been to late to cut piping.

Then disassembled and ready to paint this week. Its been cold and raining so I've been slacking.

I've seen the whole cherry bomb thing, to bulky for me. I have some mandrel bent piping to run 2 into-> 1 on each side and possibly do something with some tips or some thing... the pipes that were on it when I got the bike were just spot welded and un even as hell... I'm trying to tuck them up nice and clean, since my bike is so low it'll help give me more room in turns to lean...

I Finished the left side 2 into 1 and piping all welded up, it had to be space away to clear the kickstand... Im gonna space out the right side (kicker side) out to match the spacing between to frame... i wanted it to be as close to even as possible. also tucked it in closer and up higher that the original one, so im happy!

I've been Busy with work and a few other things... I dropped my trans in my "toy car" put a new Throw out bearing in, replaced my axle (Again), and did a couple other little things, Threw a DVD player and sub woofer in my SUV, Buffed out my SUV, and I changed positions at work from Take out to Bartender (applebees), So I Haven't had much free time with the Bike. Been Working on her here and there...

I finished the Exhaust... for the most part. Gotta Grind down my welds and heat wrap it. (Yes im heat wrapping it!) lol
No More Blinkers
No More Front Brakes (the caliper was seized up when i bought her)
Fender is ready for clear
Tank needs a little more Luv
Frame almost Ready for a nice coat of satin Black
Eliminated the blinker wires from my harness

That's kinda were I'm at right now....

This is What the Color will look like after Clear (On the Tank and fender)

This bike has come a long way since you first got it. Good work, and hard work.

Are you gonna run it with no front brake, or are you rebuilding the caliper?

Never felt comfortable with back break only. I've heard bad stories about CB550 front brakes. Apparently they're useless when wet, which is why they have that goofy plastic cover on them. I guess drilling and slotting rotors wasn't really a big thing in the 70's?
