      more "Baja Bandeeto"

I freaking love this thread! Figured i would add some progress pics of my show rod the "Baja Bandeeto" for you guys that are into that Roth style stuff. I have more info and pic's on my blog at spritzbyfritz.blogspot.com if ya wanna check it out.

I have been making up an exhaust straight pipe style but will put harley drag pipe baffels in the pipes.
I got a set of fiberglass buckets in place also after tack welding in a 1/8th plate steel floor. the engine in the stand i robbed out of my Ed Roth VW trike so I could leave the one in the car for mock up.
enjoy the pics and I will try to keep you guys updated.

We've had a few in the family over the years, 67-9ish Bus, I finished up a1970 Baja project someone started then nothing till 2010 VW TDI Sportwagen, got hit while we were up in Canada totaled it. 2012 VW TDI Sportwagen replaced it.

Unfortunately the only photo I have in the iPhone is of the ass end with my bike.

          I had a 1964, 13 window deluxe.
Took me 6 years to convince the owner to sell it and then took me 4 years to replace the bottom 12 inches all round.
Narrowed a front beam, fitted discs, fitted IRS on the back.
2007 cc engine with twin 40mm Dellortos, ect, made 100hp at the back wheels and was still making power on the dyno at 100mph.
Did all the work myself except the engine,I did the bodywork, paint, suspension, interior etc

The original owner when I picked it up

          Then I got to it

Fritz, the stuff you do is amazing - especially your paint work.. If I ever hit the Lottery I'm definitely gonna have you paint my bike.

No need to wait until you hit the lottery, Arby. Fritz paints ALL my stuff (bikes, car etc..) and not only does he outpaint everyone else, he wont kill you on the price.

Any more pictures? I just picked up a 68 squareback and am looking for some ideas for what to do with it.

BUY THE TDI!!!! We did and never looked back till some lady up in Canada ran a red and turned left into us.

Needless to say the 2010 died.

                              Long live the 2012!

Right on, she's been watching diesel prices and they are a bit lower here than regular. I think once she drives it she will like it.
