Flathead Sportster! Pics from Nice MC in Japan I think. Can someone tell me on the bottom of the struts if those are Small Black Chevy valve springs???
those look to be spitfire spring struts or something like them. I'm curious why you would ask if they are SBC springs?

If you are in Japan more than likely you are going to pay premium money for chopper parts/motorcycle parts unless you have a hookup, or make them. I was thinking for a drag bike with a slick on the back that the chevy small block valve springs would give it a very stiff suspension with the struts and rear slick giving it a great take off at the starting line. I think the O.D. on chevy valve springs might work with the struts. They could be Smith Brothers & Fetrow too.

Right on. Those are definitely too tall to be SBC springs, but I see what you are saying...actually a great idea. Stack two single springs with a set of cups for both might work. A stockish spring would probably coil bind at anything over a half inch of compression. Then figure in seat pressure of various springs versus the weight of the bike

I think I figured out which sprung strut brand is on the drag bike. The bike was made by NICE-MC Japan and they make their own sprung struts through nicemc.com . I have an image I stole(Thank You NICEMC JAPAN) from their website. Here is some more info on them even though they could still be SB&F spring struts since they look pretty old and Thanks for answering about the SBC valve springs:

Bike looks good. What bars are those and what year marauder is that? I have a '97 and thinking about changing mine.
Thank you sir. It's an 01, with Zero Drags. I'm having to switch up a lot more stuff with the bars. No more full lock to the right, clutch has to be adjusted, lever position sucks. I'm workin on cleaning the bars up now
