1978 gs750

hey guys, started this project for my little bro awhile back but he ended up liking and keeping an xs650 i ran across. it is a 1978 gs 750 which was a partial trade in for another bike i made. the bike is currently registered till nov 2011 so i want to bust this thing out and back on the road asap!. the bike is further along but i don't have any pics of it's current state. i'll post some up in the next couple days. i want to make this bike kinda look like those ariels/royal enfield bikes with skinny wheels and full fenders but of course in my interpretation. i will be running floorboards, beachbars and a girder front end which i have but am chopping down to make very short. here are a few pics of what i have and also a couple of pics for inspiration.......

hey guys, just posting up some more progress pics. today i mounted the floor boards and worked on the book rack. i made the book rack from some 1/2 inch roundstock. just measured here, bend there, tack this and weld that. before you know it, i almost got it done, just gotta final weld all the pieces together and then fabricate some tabs on the frame to bolt it onto. check it out.........

hey folks just wanted to post a couple of update pics. i took a girder front end i had laying around and basically cut it in half! i had to make the lower triple tree cause it didn't have one when i bought it. i graphed the gs750 neck stem into a lower tree i had made for another front end some years ago. well, here is the pic of the girder before and what it is now.........
