voltage regulator wire colors?

so, I just picked up my new solid state voltage regulator but the stupid thing did not come with a wiring diagram. I got three wires- Green, Red, and Brown. I am assuming here that red is the output to the battery, but where on the generator does the other 2 go. I did a quick search but found nothing. Thanks for the help!

brown is indicator light for the regulator
