I've been listening to AtomRotten talk about Vespas and Lambrettas for a dozen years now. So happy to see he finally has a place to share his knowledge on this subject with people who will appreciate it.

I've had a couple of p200's, a 64 v90, I think a 74 primavera, a 74 rally 200, a 64 tv175 with imola kit, mikuni tm28 and taffspeed pipe and a 70 dl125 with imola, phbh 28, clubman exhaust, gp200 primary gearing, vietnamese front disc conversion. That was my last scoot, it was a blast but I wanted more. Vespas don't cut it anymore and you start finding out which Indian replacement parts are the weak link when you start kitting lambrettas

Spent much of the early eighties through the early nineties riding Lambrettas and Vespas, and was a founding member of the Checkered Demons SC. Someone posted this pic of me on Facebook not too long ago. It's one of a pair of Lambretta SX 200s I owned back then. One of these days I'll need to scan the tons of pics I have lying around from all the rallies.

Still collecting dust in my garage are a pair of disassembled Lambrettas: a Series 2 150, and a Series 3 125 (seen on the top shelf).

I dig my scoot, but I think I'd be happier trading it for an old ironhead. Or better, a shovel
