I hate dieting, but my motorcycle LOVES it.
Battery, oil tank, battery tray, battery hold down/cover all weigh almost 20lbs. New oil tank weighs 2lbs, new battery weighs 1.5lbs. The battery mount for the new small battery will attach to the right highway peg under the cam cover and weighs half a pound. Another 16lbs gone!!! That is a huge weighs savings!
Yes I will be leaving the triangle under the seat open, just like I love on old race bikes. I'll cut the rest of the brackets off the frame when my new oil tank arrives. The rear fender is going to get cut down alot more under the seat. The rear of the triangle will have an aluminum plate ziptied to it to act as a mudguard.
I also painted the rear shock reservoirs to match the front fork legs.

I can't wait to get the smaller battery and the alloy oil tank in, they're going to totally complete this bike.
It definitely tears it up.Comment

I trimmed up the last 2 inches of the fender struts and four inches from the fender and it has totally given the rear of the bike a new look. Now I just have to figure out the new brake light and plate mount.
I know some of you hate the seat, but its not going anywhere. Its like sitting in the Hand of God himself. VERY comfy for miles.

Lovewhat you've done with that machine, looks great! Any plans of finishing the empty space under the seat?Comment
