regulation rectification

Anyone know if i can put a reg/rectifier in place of the stock reg and rectifier on the cb450, no blinkers, or electric start, just headlight and taillight. I "found" a regulator/rectifier from a KX450(motocross bike) and wanted to use it instead...but too lazy to look up the schematic for the kawi to figure it out. Theres a pink(rectifier) and a yellow(regulator), then the power wire...should be no prob right?...i suck at electrical
