    Black Sheep xs650

I am finally getting a good start on my build. Got my frame from Ardcore Choppers. It took 22 weeks (was told 10 week ) , but was definitely worth the wait. Motor is from an 81 xs650. Hope to work with Hugh on a rebuild and do the permanent magnet alternator. Going to do away with starter and go kick only. Here are some pics of what i am working with.

Here are the bars I will be using. A buddy of mine made them for me. There is a post on my LED tail light. Headlight is an old Unity spotlight with nickel sanded off. Tank is an Indian Larry tank with different neck and brass gas cap added. Also added a brass sight glass.

I'm in the same boat as well. My ardcore frame is being shipped right now. I'm planning on a 750 kit and a rephase. Yours should be fun to watch.

                    Some progress

Had some time to make a little progress on the build. My buddy turned some sporty lowers for me and helped me build my front end. Installed the neck cups and i slapped it on the bike. Let me know what you think about the lowers.

                            Progress

I am almost at the "roller" stage. Found a rear wheel at the swapmeet (gave a whole $25 for it), got the rim and hub plus my front rim and spool powdercoated. I laced my front wheel. Waiting on spokes for my rear wheel. Threw it together for some pics.

                              I got a roller

I laced and trued my wheels (with a little help), got tires mounted, and my friend made me some wheel spacers. I made a bracket for the brake caliper and we bolted her together. Here are a few shots. I will post some pics of the mids we made in a couple days.
