    Dyna Pics

Need ideas for winter projects for my Dyna... anyone have any pics of cool Dynas that aren't rigids? Love Sporties and rigids, but a Dyna is what I've got, so have to make the best of it.

Pic below is where I'm at... best riding HD I've ever had, just absolutely think it's ugly... love the lines of a Sporty, but this is what I've have to work with.

Looked like this when I bought it...

if it were mine. I would slam the rearend. with either a lowering kit or struts.then i would swap out the barswith some 14" burly apes in black.. and maybe ditch the front turn signals. powdercoat the lower fork tubes. then i'd ride the piss out of it! it's a good looking scoot

Well, seeing as you're so bummed about not having a Sporty I'd be more than willing to trade you for mine!! hahahaha.

I'd throw some shorty shocks on it, remove or change out the front blinkers and then leave it. It's a great looking bike!

yeah, lower the rear end. i had 10" black progressives on my old denim black street bob.. made a big difference. you could lower the front with a spring kit too. but the problem with newer bikes like this is these parts cost some big money. only other suggestions i can think of: maybe re-lace your front wheel into a 21 (or fat tire the front 19?). powder coat the forlklowers for sure, maybe the triple trees and forward controls too. make a seat pan and do a slimmed down seat (no seat springs on a swingarm bike please!), maybe some gnarly short pipes or some trick exhaust above the cases. curved plate mount off the primary maybe? little touches on modified sotckers go a long way in my mind.

I completely disagree - dont slam the rear - these things are low as is, and not great cornering - I installed Vrod (13") on mine, and Id love to go taller honestly. Make it a racer, not a cruiser - leave that shit to the softails!

Hey Ditto...where'd you get the tail section for your bike? Got a friend wanting to do something similar to his superglide.

ooops sorry gents - that aint my sling - just one im using for inspiration on mine actually - I dont have any pics of mine, but it aint close to that yet anyway.

Im contemplating how/if Im gonna use a tail section - I havent decided. I posted a few pics awhile ago on a Dyna that Kraus Motors did - similar style and he fabbed his own tail

First thing I'd do before lowering it is mount the fender on the swingarm so its reeeeaaaallll close to the tire. That'll change the look of it immediately.
Then maybe shorter shocks to drop the rear then drop/slide the fork tubes up the triple trees to level it out and your all set.
A mornings work and ridin in the afternoon.
                              Just my .02
                              Nice bike btw.
