The "yellow can" is Mapp gas. And yes, it burns hotter. Burns even hotter if you take a pair and two-fist it. I recently went on a scavenger hunt for some and maybe it's since been rectified, but I went to 6 different Lowe's/Home Depot's in 3 different towns, and none to be had. NONE. And just a blank space where they all were, on every shelf in every store. Turns out the tall thin Worthington canisters were pulled because they were a bit weak at the neck joint and the canisters were failing. Which, you know, kills people. Even the Bernzomatic ones were gone. I don't know if they were bad as well, but they were the same size and shape, so they got bagged also. But I finally found a Home Depot on the other side of the state close to my job that had the fat, squatty ones from Bernzomatic, so I bought all they had.

I just did one too. Thanks for the write up!

I turned down all thread connectors & welded them to flat pieces of 1/4" instead of the heims though

I was basically about to build this for my bike, can't get this ground clamps or the brass rod. Got a couple more places to try for the clamps but NOBODY in this shithole town sells brass rod bigger than 1/4"

I got the ground rod clamps at home depot, but had to order the 1/2" rod from McMaster-Car. Their shipping was very reasonable, I imagine even up to you in Canada.

I have a different fender support/sissy bar how-to ready to go. It actually blows this outta the water. Just waiting for Bill and the powers that be to support another Tech contest.

Lurker here and I'm going to give this awesome how-to a go on my Sporty.

I JUST (last weekend) picked up the kit with this 'bad' map can and oxygen, from Canadian Tire. Is it conceivable that they have fixed the issue and the recall is over all these months later, or should I not use this kit?
