Let me see your Jap Rat Bike!
I'm very inexperienced with bikes and recently got an awesome deal on a cheapo Boulevard that's been dropped numerous times and needs a um... SMALLER oil leak and a BIGGER attitude.
SO- I'm working on transforming my very weak S40 into a slightly stronger/ quicker hardtail. My money situation dictates that I have to ghetto-rig, look for hook-ups, and invent new ways to get the project done with little to no money. So far I've found doing this to be an absolute blast! My seat is a skateboard tail, my grips are off of a bmx bike, and my air filter is a wrecked bike hand-me-down off of some crotch rocket POS.
BUT- I've found that doing this project this way has made me look at the world around me a little differently. Instead of seeing a POS crotch rocket, I see a slew of new creations. Instead of seeing an old trailer, I see a possible rear fender. Instead of seeing my old Marine Corps gear as only keepsakes, I find ways to incorporate them into my vision of the final product.
LET ME SEE YOUR RAT BIKE!!!
You can see mine on my profile page.

Can wait for snow, new tank, bars, seat, rear end overhaul, fake oil tank for electronics and hopefully convert to kick start all in the mix!
