Coming along nicely. Good idea about opening motor.

You're cylinders *look* good, but you need to mic the bores and piston OD, calculate your ptw, and check your ring end gap to know for sure what is needed.

Great looking build, Im slowly building a 78 as well, but going the opposite direction, doing a dropseat instead of a hardtail, and keeping the front low with the lower tubes of the frame will run parallel to the ground.

      Love the build so far

I see some scuffing there. Re-Ring, always. It may need more? Agree with above poster. You'll have to measure it.

It wouldn't take much of a scuff to be beyond a normal hone job, though. If you can feel it, it is probably too much.

Also, with that kind of oil (Because to me that looks like a lot) you'll want to check guides and probably get the heads done as long as you're this far. That kind of work here is crazy high and nobody does it well, so a set of S&S heads were not much more than getting mine fixed, and much, much easier.

PS: Something odd.. When I zoom up on the cylinder bore to have a close look? Your camera has superimposed a diagram of some sort over it.

          LOL!

          It's crazy looking.

It does look sort of weird. What you are seeing is what the cylinder is sitting on tho... Sort of reading thru-the-bore, if you will.

I get it now. I'm slow sometimes!

Thought that was a piston top down there, cause it looks shiny.

              Great bike, btw. Keep posting!

so clean. that front end is exactly what im trying to go for.
Just got some mullins trees and now i need a skinnier front wheel to fit.
Are those just stock shaved lowers? what hub/rim?
Ive got the lowbrow tapered lowers and my 21x2.15 and 4" hub arent even close to fitting with the new trees

This bike rules man. Clean, simple, perfect.
Hey one quick question - what's the story on the seat? Is that purchased or was it custom fab?

Thanks man, apricate it. I am super stoked on it. Spruce Street Fab built the seat pan and had a local low rider shop here in So Cal upholster it.

Sweet rear rim. Did you have to piece it together yourself? Been looking for an assembled one with a shoulder just like this. Good looking build man

What did you end up doing to the motor?

James is the man. He built two of my bikes.
Does he still have the F100?
Your bike came out great btw, dude.
