That's always the trouble with FXR's isn't it? They're all used, so you have to plan on undoing all the dumb stuff done by the previous owner(s). And it can get expensive.

If want to ride, then buy a rider and don't restore it. Go custom (kinda the point of chobbering) instead.

FXRs are expensive to restore, but not particularly expensive to fix since most of it's generic Evo shit and a lot of parts can be upgraded while being replaced since the originals often sucked (brakes especially) anyway.

Yeah, that's the idea, haven't seen it done on a Harley so figured it'd be fun to try out.



Haven't tig'd in years so they need a little work but after the 70 something welds they should be coming out nice by the end.
