    Default Slider stud size

Couldn't find anything on the forum. Does anyone know the thread size and pitch for the fork slider studs?

On 41mm fork lowers on HD front ends, the threads for the studs are 5/16-18 on all units up until at least '00. I don't work on later models and so have no info there. The earlier studs are fine thread on one end and coarse on the other, like a common stud. The evo era studs are coarse on both ends.

Jesus, these guys act like this is secret info or something. And, oh yeah, it ain't in the manual.

Thank you I didn't know I needed more info...Fork slider studs for a 41mm front end. It wasn't in the clymers manual I have and they don't have it on any of the specs on JP or Colony. Thanks Jim

I'm glad you got your info but you still haven't told us what kind of bike you have...............

And a Clymer manual is JUNK.......... It's not good enough to use in an out house...............

I don't guess. Note I specifically said HD lowers. If there are other 41mm front ends out there, my answer would not apply to them by my own limitation.
