no? all I did was remake the mounting bracket that they give you out of steel rather than their aluminum piece and integrate the idiot lights. and those small 'screws' are made from 450/630 stainless which is rated like 180,000 PSI (20% Stronger than GR8)... you could hang the motorcycle from one of them.

Thank you, here is a coulple more pics of some of the shit. 1993 touring trans, 07 rear swingarm/brake/wheel, orig bottom breather cases, plugged the old oil return in the trans case because it was interfering with the crank case breather, in 89 the filter mounted on the bottom of the trans so i moved the filter under seat and ran oil lines differently to work with the 93 (spline shaft) touring trans.

Latest pic of mine. Just need to stop being lazy and change the rear struts over to the black PC ones. New exhaust can is going on next week too, hopefully.

Gotta ask for those going from Forwards to mids, what did you use for the short brake plunger?

hey, i've got a ton of questions, so sorry, and thanks in advance...
i recently bought a '93 FXR-CONV and i don't dig the 1" bars, but i like the stock buckhorn bend. does anyone know if there's someone who bends custom bars? i'd like to get some 7/8" bars with the stock buckhorn bend.
also, like hatcity, i'm wondering about the k-tech tracker cartridge drop-ins. i think they'll work, but i have the +2" forks, and i don't think k-tech makes one long enough. i was planning on calling works to ask about their drop-ins, but i don't think those are externally adjustable. also, if anyone knows a good rate for the fork springs for this bike with a 200# rider, let me know.
and, since folks dig pics:
the previous owner took that pic. been removing all the "live to ride" stuff, but i'm looking for the original sissy bar. if ya got one, let me know. i want the 16" one.
now for the bad news, something went loose inside my crankcase. found this inside the cam cover:
but i can't figure out where it came from. i thought it may have come from the breather window, but it doesn't fit anywhere and it was the only piece. it's cast aluminum for sure. any ideas?
thanks,

nice bike Dobbs, you should be able to just find 7/8 buckhorn bars and just replace your risers.

Folks that did the primary belt conversion... who sells a good kit? anything I should know before undertaking this task? anything I should do at the same time since I'll have the primary apart?

I wanted to do a open belt drive, and BDL makes a good kit, good price, Karate also, Need a splinned shaft (if you dont have one) and newer starter I think.
I have been thinking of getting around this by doing a Closed primary, and cutting up the primary cover as I want it.
Just so I dont have to go wide primary belt.

Thanks for the info!
I have a 93. Splined shafts started in 90, right? I don't remember.
Jeff Wright builds the craziest stuff.

Yeah splined shafts started in 90 with a 1yr shaft (It was a splined shaft put into an 89 box), 91+ use a different splined shaft and gearsets.
If you've got a 89 or below, Andrews make the 1990 splined shaft that will drop right in.

Im sure a lot of you all have done this on your own before, I never had BUT I did it for the first time
Bearing I pulled
First Install (Did it wrong) corrected it and it works.
after finishing it all together rode it slightly to move and put my flag on it.
