yes indeed CM. bolt up no issue. keep in mind it will raise ride hieght roughly an inch due to the old style more vertical shock angle.

Went to look at this 94 with 34k miles a couple weeks ago, he was asking $5200 for it but I'm Jewish so was able to get him down to $3000 and brought her back home.

Had a real nasty oil leak from pretty much everywhere there is a gasket on the top end, so down she went.

      And cleaned all up.

Made a few more changes and now she's back running like a top.

Want to change a few more things but that's all my budget allows for now so going to just ride the shit out of it as is while I work on the other bikes.

Great score man and good job on the changes. If you decide to get rid of the floor boards they bring good money on FXRs of CA on FB. You can easily sell em and pic up some mids for it.

Thanks and I've seen they bring pretty good money and do want some mids, bbbuuuut the parts hoarder in me isn't letting my sell them for whatever reason.

I'll probably scoop some mids when the cash is right or just make some and throw the floor boards in a box in the corner because I have problems.

And today, I took the reflectors off the front end and a few of he golden chicks, but I won't clog up with any more pics.

Now how would I go about adding a tach or speedo? I had to disconnect the speedo because of the newer front end but have the spot in the tank for it so would like to actually run something for a change.

I'm not sure how you would run a speedo short of getting a later model tranny that has the plug in the top for an electronic speedo.

Yeah, not that important that I'm looking to switch trannies. What about a tach? I'm used to removing stuff not adding so pretty stupid when it comes to gauges.

You can run a tach off of the ignition. I'm not sure which wire it is on a stock module. but I know you can for sure on a Dynatech 2ki ignition.

Yes, they are. Came to me as a gift when my good friend heard I picked up an fxr. I like the setup but it's taking a few miles to get used to after so many miles on the kz with narrow six bends.

So this past weekend (Last Weekend during vacation) I set up my bars but lots of play in them, so going to order solid mounted risers or get some from a local mech buddy

This is how its looking now so far. Thinking of ordering "Custom Chrome Mid controls" since its about the same price everyone wants for factory ones.

anyone know the weight difference between switching over from chrome spoke wheels to mags? I also heard its better to go with a 18 inch mag on the rear over the 16 due to the weight of the tire?

A buddy is running an 18 on the back of his but he also has a hopped up shovel motor, I have spokes on mine but a 16 on back. stock evo, picking up a solid rear fatboy rim and a 9 spoke mag for the back and looking for a 19 9 spoke front later on.

I figured its just taller, I lowered mine with 11.5 shock he is running 11 inch shocks I think and had to do lowering blocks and it sits higher then mine still. I think.

I just picked up a 16 rear mag with a sprocket already attached kinda a jump start on my conversion. I will weight both and post results. I am thinking the mag might be slightly heavier which sucks but with my 107 and the pot holes in md/va with my year round riding its more for saftey and not leaving me on the side of the road.
