The fact you took the time to express your irritation at my SOA reference is even lamer. However I'm sure FX enjoys the support. And yes, it is a nice bike.

You're right. I'm not. However the next time we meet sir, I will be twice as ignorant as before.

I deserved that. At your age I still knew everything too.

eh, don't worry about us pillow fighting here ...
I just find it ironic that nobody calls long choppers "easy rider bikes" or desert sleds " McQueen copy cats", but now anyone with fairing and drag bars on a black bike is now Jax wanna-be ...

Aren't we all copying something thats been done before?
                  Didn't Billy-bike in easyriders have T-bars?
Didn't H-D put Cafe fairings on in late 70s?
Didn't Arlen Ness put his fairings on FXRs since the 80s ?
I vaguely remember '82 Sturgis all blacked out from the factory. Must be SOA inspired

Finished up the skid plate last week. Have a dual disc lined up and ready to go once the lower I bought shows up. Got the Super G tuned and dyno'd - gave me almost 20hp and 20ft lbs over the Super E I had been running. Pulled just shy of 100/100.

Hey guys, I don't have any pictures to contribute to this thread, but I've been wondering about FXR's for a while now and was hoping one of you could school me on them... So, from what I understand, FXR's had shovel top ends until the end of the shovelhead in 84. As far as all the other FXR's (from 85 through the last production model in.... 93-4?) what is the difference? Like, what difference is there between an 85 FXR or a 93 FXR? does it even matter, or are they all the same?

Went back and looked at my sheets. Was a little shorted than 20/20 than I remember. Still huge gains though.

                            Super E was 81/86
                            Super G is 97/92

Both tuned and dyno'd by the same guy.

Glad you guys made a skid plate. I was severely slacking on getting around to producing them. No FXR in the shop makes it a bit tough
