    Default Sporty measurement needed please

Need someone with a 1986-1990 Sportster to measure from the back of the exhaust pipe to the frame rail where the large nut holds the sprocket cover on (below the brake pedal pivot / foot peg mount)

what is it you are wanting to do from that measurement?

back of stock muffler, or back of head pipe?

Back of head pipe. I need a reference measurement to see if another header will fit on my frame with a hardtail.

There's considerable room to move pipes by rotation outboard since the Ironhead Sportster exhaust port is a spigot. Unless the hardtail is some very wide-tired oddball typical and most atypical pipes should fit. Most hardtails are little wider than a swingarm.

Got a pic of the exhaust in question? There are so many hardtailed Ironheads someone's gotta be running one, if not here then on xlforum, and they may have cool mounting ideas you might want to adopt.

86 -90 is Evo. and I want to use a Paughgo 2 into 1 header 719-C1. My concern is that pipe will hit the hardtail portion. I few measurements on a stock bike would help me verify.
