    Panhead case question

I was wondering, can I use the right 1955-57 race in a 1950 right halve crankcase to use te 1954-1957 pinionshaft and bearing?

You can keep the '50 pinion race and bearing and just change the shaft. I have done that a few times. Of course you have to change the pinion bushing in the cover. And that requires that you make a spacer to go behind the bushing in the cover to get the depth right. There is a little secret for you. All that allows you to use the keyed timing gear, and the '73 - up oil pump gear set to speed the pump up.
