Help with S&S PanShovel (Knuckle?) cases. Totally lost.

I was wondering about the KN series S&S Heads they redesigned?

I found a part number for them earlier but couldn't find any other information.

Knucklehead-style rocker boxes for all Shovelhead engines. It is stupendous how effectively the right side engine appearance is changed and how fast your good old Shovel will become a center conversation piece on every bike meet. Installation is very simple due to exact fitment. No additional parts are required because the complete stock valve train can be retained. However, installation of the Knovelhead rockerboxes requires new oil lines. The manufacturer offers a nice solution: two braided steel lines with T-fitting made from billet aluminum, including all necessary fittings..

The S&S P-Series heads are "Kick Freaken Ass"

Kit consists of a set of S&S P-series cylinder heads with rocker cradles, S&S roller rocker arms, S&S hydraulic tappets, billet tappet guides, Quickee pushrods, pushrod cover clips and all required gaskets and hardware for assembly ..



Here's a few of the goodies that they have ..

1) Roller Shovelhead rocker arms that has been drilled for oil up the pushrods oiling.
Just like the Evo motors .. No outside oil feed lines ..

2) Uses Shovel cylinders ..
Heads have a Shovelhead bolt pattern, making them compatible with any stock or aftermarket cylinders for 66-84 Big Twins; heads come complete with valves and 0.590" lift valve springs ..

3) Has Shovel Ports ..
Accept stock or S&S O-ring-style manifolds for Shovelheads and any exhaust system made to fit a Shovelhead engine ..

4) Internal or External oil drain backs ..

5) Cooling channel between combustion chamber and rocker arms ..

6) Late style valve chambers eliminates oil pooling ..

I dunno yet. We're still in the middle of the 45's.

Those heads are cool, though. My shovel has a set of S&S heads on it now and I love them.

It's outfitted with EVO lifters, rockers and the internal oiling. It's perfect. I've never had to touch the valves.

A zero maintenance valve train. (So far, anyway.)
