    Hippie jae jee!
    Now i started wank...grinding pipes
Before welding the girder fork, the parts must be polished like a chrome surface.
In this way, you will save time on the final grinding before chromium plating and the chromium surface after chromium plating will be really good.
In the second picture on the right side you can see the pipe before grinding.
    This is where it progresses.............

I have a Vulcan 1500 and I think the 800 is literally the same size, only bored smaller on the inside. It's also much lighter obviously. Does anyone know how it works? I met a guy with an 800 and the engine looked the same size.

While the girder fork plate parts are completed by laser cutting it is time to think about how to implement a foot clutch and manual transmission. The foot clutch is made of a combination of a gear pedal and a clutch cable. The second picture has a vision of the upcoming manual transmission but let’s see what the final version is, time will shows.

            Weeeell.
            The footclutch is finally ready.
I did such parts by turning and milling. At the same time I tested the clutch and it worked great.
Imaginative lies in making a low budget style

I also made a brake pedal / wire with the same idea like a foot clutch because the previous owner had lost the original parts and had cut the pedal bracket a bit.

The foot clutch and - brake has been done so next i made a manual transmission. Finally, of course, the parts need to be polished and finally chrome plated.

Again the same joke, work hinders hobbies but something I still got built in any case.
I started welding the final version of the girder fork. After welding both fork should be sharply sanded and polished before chrome plating.

There is still a lot work to do before I get to drive this hippie chopper on a winding road to sunset.

The work is progressing slowly like a duck in clay soil.
                    Girder forks tic-welded.
Next they need to be acid treated (welding bluing removal), polished and then chromium plated.

Wow the front end is going to look sick man. The V800 was my first entry into the bobber world, been addicted ever since. Will be keeping an eye on your build, nice work.

Thanx man. I have no complaints about the VN800 either.
I started making other parts to girder fork. Yokes, turning shaft etc...

                          So,
Right now Väinö looks like this.
The Girder fork is almost complete, except the shock absorber mounting brackets need to be welded in right place.
Before chrome plating the parts need to be acid treated and polished of course.
After the completion of the fork, the next step in the project is the sissy bar and the modification of the rear fender. I almost forgot to mention, the king & queen seat of course, so there is still a lot to work.

At the moment, I am making rear indicators (stainless steel) and sissy bars (stainless steel).

Here would be the first design of the sissy bar made with Solidworks.
This is good start, let's see what the final version will be

                                Yeah right...
This is how it looks in practice.
The parts have not yet been welded together, except the upper part.
