Looking closely at both, the right side is wider than the left! Two different tanks for sure. So does anyone a "decent" repo?

You have aftermarket tanks and dash, you are never going to get anything to fit with out lots of work and sweat and when you are done you still have inferior stuff.

Guys, I get that nothing is better than original and if this bike was even close to original I would go that route, but there is little on this bike other than the motor that is stock '56, and even that has a set of hot rodded '48 heads. To be honest I would not want a stock set of tanks as I would just ruin them by filling in the emblem mounting tabs and shut-off anyhow.
I really don't mind having to work a bit to get everything to fit, but at the moment I am dealing with two different tanks with very different contours and it would take a bunch of bondo to get them even close to the same. Tattooo got me looking closely at the differences and they are noticable. Here is how the previous owner handled it!
What I am asking is of the aftermarket tanks, those with no emblem tabs, no front shutoff valve, no tank shift, which is of the best quality, not necessarily best fit. Then I can start with that and make everything else fit and look good.

Definitely want 3.5s and not 5s. Had those on the '55 but want to be a little slimmer on this one.
