    Panhead oil gallery leak on timing cover!

    Hi guys, i just finished putting my pan/shove back together, started it up to heat cycle it and its leaking a bit of oil out of the oil passage timing cover bolt! Any ideas? Cheers!Click image for larger version

        Think the cam cover is a one year only deal for the Pans ...
        63 & 64 Cam covers had fins, only the 65 was a Flatside cover ...



        66-69 was the same Cam cover without the oil hole being drilled ..

            Yeah it is mate, not sure if the hole in the shank of the bolt lines up with gallery when done up though

                    You may have to switch to one of the aluminum washers with o-ring molded on the ID. Like the ones H-D uses on their brake system banjo bolts.

                      I think i know the ones you're talking about, thanks jim! Just a bit strange as it never used to leak before i rebuilt the motor
