    Evo Open Primary

If the question has already been asked elsewhere, apologies, I didn't find it.

So the bike is a '99 Evo Softail and I'd like to run an open primary, without motor plate preferably.

BDL offer the Evo 4S drive kit (intended for kick-only bikes '90 - '06) which might work as I'd like to add a kick-start too (from Cannonball)

I'd be keeping the final belt drive (as I've got a new rear pulley and belt) then presumably the only thing I'd need is a main-shaft support plate?

If all that sounds dumb (I don't have any experience with this) and there are better options, I'm all ears.

    Thanks for any input.

Im using an BDL EVB-2SL. It is marketed as a closed belt drive but I run it open with no motor plate on a warmed over evo.

I took the stock inner primary and cut it down to make the support plate and used a sealed bearing.
