    pan/shovel.
    a panhead is a panhead.
a 66 to 69 shovelhead is a gen shovel or a flat side or a slab side.
most normal people will call it a gen shovel.
the early shovels were NOT pan/shovels.

a pan/shovel is a a 50's or early 60's bottom end with a shovel top end on it...
and that was the hot lick in the 70s

    am i nit picking?
No, you're not. Craziest thing I remember seeing (think I have a photo, somewhere,) was an alternator shovel FXR with a pan top end. Owned by a local shop owner. Needed a new top end and he put it together with "what he had on hand."

“It’s got a 3/4 race cam” says the owner or seller when he has no clue what’s in it

“All chromed out” seller spent $thousands$ on bolt on crap and expects to recoup every cent

“Won’t last” see above ha ha ha ha
