Default Gotta Love New Products .. 5-Speed Kicker

This kick starter by Cannonball is cracking down hard!

For the high demands that Evolution and Twin Cam engines place on the kicker train, Cannonball has a kickstart kit that can withstand even the highest demands.
The often used 4-speed components of conventional kicker kits are usually not sufficiently dimensioned for engines with high compression.

The weak points have been consistently eliminated one by one and the typical causes of problems have been replaced by much stronger parts. For example, the kicker shaft has double the cross section and the starter wheel has replaceable lead-in ramps made of hardened steel.
The kicker cover is made of forged aluminium. If you want a kicker that works reliably when the electric starter fails or if you have no electric starter on the bike at all, the Cannonball kicker kit is the best choice.

    Fitment hints:

The kit fits all 5-speed Big Twin models 1987-1998 without additional components (except kicker pedal and kicker arm).
Models 1985 and 1986 require the 1987→ clutch cable and the 1987→ steel balls for the release mechanism (3x WW 80-822). WW 22-223 is required to accommodate the cable in the clutch lever.
Dyna models require modification of the interference tube.

If you install one please take a pic looking straight down with a steel rule or caliper showing distance from the transmission casting face. Most won't be used on bikes with mid controls but that's useful info. So would be laying the parts next to their Baker counterparts and comparing relevant dimensions and pics of the inside of the cover and detailed shots of the trap door. Your photoshoot style is better than their instruction pics because yours are properly lit and taken up close. Check to see if it fits the larger OD upgrade throwout bearing since the stock throwout is tiny and heavy clutch springs kill them. Their release is different and may prevent using that part but I can't tell from the pics.

What does it cost shipped from your shop?
Since you're a dealer you can throw that info in. An assembly video on Youtube is always useful and would help move product.

It should of course fit Twinkie five speed boxes and of course five-into-four S&S transmission cases.

Looks rather wide but they left exhaust pipe clearance towards the bottom. When you use one on a build taking pics with exhaust installed would help prospective customers figure out what they need to do. A slick way would be hanging a variety of pipes from yer stash on the scoot for pics.

Baker use a press fit to augment the nut holding their ratchet assembly. Interesting that Cannonball didn't but they could choose to do so for very large engines (but most of those guys will run e-start and use the kicker as an assist if needed).

A comparison including measured fits would be useful since customers forking out that kind of money for a kicker will want to know all the details.
They will need to buy or copy the simple door puller (which Cannonball should include in the kit since they don't cost shit to make):

It lists a bit less than the Baker (markup on both is understandably large for the small production volumes) and though it doesn't have the classic look Evo and Twinkie owners won't care.
