    i like your idea of using the turnbuckle but i just don't know if i would trust aluminum for that. (just my thoughts)

      paint

      Got my bike painted by a guy here in town. He did a pretty sweet job...could use some stripes & leaf still, but overall pretty presentable. Single stage 1 shot base coats...paint is expensive!! I'll spend more on my next build. Despite masking off the paint job I still managed to gouge the shit out of it, so a touchup phase is totally necessary.
