    YB100 bucket racer.

I bought a couple of wrecked YB100s back in the 80s sometime and set about suping it up. I made a single seat for it, chopped a few inches off the rear end and welded a plate there for a tail light I welded up. The left side cover was binned and I made a flat steel one with rolled edges and fitted that. An oil tank was fabricated from an old fridge and held in place by a polished aluminium bracket (not shown). The air cleaner was binned and I beat up a small, round one to fit over the crankcase spigot.

I welded together an expansion chamber with muffler for it and modified the inlet disk. Drop bars were welded together, mudguards shortened, springs exposed, hubs and side covers polished, then the bike was rewired and painted black.
I rode this bike to and from work everyday for a few years before scrapping it and throwing the parts down the rubbish dump.

This bike got a lot of looks riding it around town and with the mods moved pretty quick for a 100cc bike.
