Thread: cable splitter.

  1. #1

    Default cable splitter.

The TX came with a twin cable throttle, one cable for each carb, very fiddly to sync. So, I bought a single cable throttle and looked around for a cable splitter. Couldn't find one that could be mounted, so I made my own. I started with a small lump of ally, machined a step, drilled it with mounting holes, bored it 14mm, ran a 5/8"UNF thread in each end, spun up some end caps for it and made a slide from brass.

To make syncing easier, I spun up some adjusters with mounting brackets, soldered three cables and put together a manometer.

Everything works very well and it makes syncing super easy.

I'll bet those would sell. Nobody makes one with a mount, they are always flopping around or tie-wrapped to sumptin the shouldn't be. Brass would look way cool on some bikes.
