    Exhaust noise vs. Cam profile

So I've got quite the dumb question here.
Does cam profile/timing affect the exhaust noise a noticeable amount? Coming from straight 1.75" shotgun exhaust.
Reason I ask is my bike seems a bit quieter than other bikes that have half the horse power.
It's a 108" shovelution, Leineweber E7S cam with straight shotgun pipes with lollipops of course.
Rode with a few shovels and some evos, all of them seemed louder. I don't care by any means, just curious if my bike is more/less efficient with exhaust gasses

Edit- no idea why my stupid pictures aren't facing the correct way. Sorry

Very nice bike, If your using your phone to post pics send them to yourself in an email then post them that usually works. I'm sure someone will come a long and fix them.

I can't explain the physics, but I've always found advancing the cams a few degrees quieted the exhaust somewhat. I think that was after Jim said to me that he never found the too soon intake opening point on a HD. I got him to grind me some Knuck profiles for my stroked KK on Sportster blanks (to keep the rollers more centralized) on the cam. He said nobody ever asked him to do that before. Little KK ran like stink!

Putting an EV27 cam in my evo 1340 changed the exhaust idle sound characteristics slightly but it wasn't hugely noticeable. I actually think it sounded smoother with the stock crappy cam. Theres plenty before / after vids on youtube of harleys after getting cams replaced.
