Don't have a clue with the when thingie .. ??

But, was just thinking bout the "Genuine Harley" parts while building a tranny ..

Kinda wild that the entire tranny is built from aftermarket parts but for this one and extremely lonely Harley part ..

Wouldn't it be as soon as they had investor capital and started to bid out cases, forge parts--I'd say at least early teens. Aurora Machine supplied Indian and later made Thor, they're still in business. Also heard through the grape vine that HD cases were cast in Fort Wayne Indiana. They're bicycles at the end of the day and aren't that expensive to manufacture it makes sense to bid out the work asap.
