    Default Rear axle diameter

Just wondering what diameter rear axle people are using on their hard tail bikes?

For years I have run the 3/4" old style axles however I just recently built a 1" axle sickle.
The .750" axles often bent under Hole-Shot power so I added a left-side axle support bearing
and the bending ceased. That was only necessary running stock sized wheels ( 3.5" wheel and 150mm Max tire ) with Wide tire frames.
In NON-wide tire frames the bearing support has not been needed in My experience.

It all depends on the wheel your intending on running.
