Here's my chicks bike with some super mild mods: bars, new rear fender and struts, yanked the front fender, signals, pipes, hardtail strut, risers(from stock to 6", to 1"),side mount plate and tail light, and hacked ass seat. As far as needed shit: new tires, new chain tune up the carb.

Things I'm about to do: fab up custom tank, rewire, paint and pinstripe, custom seat, redo stock foot controls, add mid pegs.

okay, this isn't my bike. i found this on cl. the guy was unloading it for 700 bucks. i'm kickin' myself for not picking it up. i was saving for something else at the time. i love it. it's plain, simple, and perfect in every way. i went ahead and kept the pic because it was so bad ass. you know you guys do the same thing. anyway, i think it was a 550. pretty sure it was about the same thing you're working with, but i could be wrong. just thought i'd give you some inspiration.

i dont understand the concern some of you have with the drive shaft? just extend the shaft..

i dont have a shadow, but i have an 83 nighhawk with shaft drive. i just hardtailed the frame.. no i didnt take the easy route and strut it, i actually hardtailed it, and extended it back 5' and then extended the driveshaft 5"

Thanks bro, I should be making a set of pipes tomorrow. That is assuming my pipe bender doesn't take a shit on me. I see you got yours running, sorry it took so long for me to start taking the tank off.
