All this work is just for the look, what pleases the eye. ..
When I built my 52's tranny I used a Jammer ribbed kick cover ..
Had it mock up on the bike and was eyeballing what to me was a spot that just didn't fit the rest of the build ..
So .... I got the tig torch fired up and started filling up that spot on the kicker cover ..
Here's what was going on ... The cover had a dip in it as all kick covers has for the rear exhaust pipe to join up with the front pipe at the Y ...
I'm running dual pipes with the rear going over the top of the tranny not running down in front of the kick cover ... I fill that area up and chromed it...

Ya know to this day I don't recall anybody making mention of that mod .. !!
Kinda the same deal with the relocated rocker box oil lines ...
Lot of work to pull off those mods and only I know that it didn't come that way from the Mo-Co ...
Dragstews hasn't sent me a place to send the two items. If somebody else might have any uses for them let me know. I hate to toss em in the recycling bin..

Got it honed for a slip fit, that allowed for me to set up the drive gear end play ..
Factory speck is .003" to .013"
I'm at .008" .. That part of the build is done ..
Time to load the mainshaft with all parts and run down a few checks ...
Third gear end play will be dial in ...

This is not final assembly ..
What I'm doing is getting the tranny set up on specks then will take it apart for doing the polish.
Doing it this way is less chance of bogeying the finish while working on it ..
The work has already been done and only needs to be put together ...
