If the serial# says it's an FXS, that's what it is.
In any event, the front end, tanks (as near as I can tell from the pics), and dash are wrong for either model.

By the way H9 is a FXS,
If that's what you want to build it back to my 79 FXS is a totally restored with 16,000 original miles and factory paint..... It even has the factory type black wrinkle paint on the motor and trans.......
You have a long way to go to make it back stock......
Best of luck with your build....Last edited by Tattooo; 06-28-2020 at 10:16 AM.

H9 means 1979 in the serial# code. All models have that suffix in the '79 model year.

Ok you have a 1200 FXS...... Which is a F code. Mine is a G which is a 80 ci.... Hell I forgot about the 1200 bikes....
So I would say your bike is an early 1979...... I bet it has a ratchet top trans.... And that's a good thing....
Hope this helps....Last edited by Tattooo; 06-28-2020 at 10:38 AM.
