Bigdog EVO 107 into a Santee hard tail frame

Hey all! First time posing on here. Was referred by a friend. Thanks in advance for your help.
I recently picked up and old but new Santee hard tail frame in trade. It came with the drivetrain out of an unknown Bigdog bike. I did get the speedo (and tons of other sh*t) that confirmed bike had around 4000 miles when he wrecked it.
The engine is an EVO style 107” Bigdog. It fits my new frame just like it should.
The transmission is another story, and the reason I need help. It is a Baker 6 speed OD also marked as a Bigdog. I know these trannies are amazing and was stoked to slap her in.
Here is the problem. The frame has a center (seat) post that is structurally important to the strength. The transmission is designed to mount to the back of the engine using the two motor mount bolts. It also has what I would call a “pivot” style mount on the rear of the trans. The frame wants a transmission that mount from the bottom via a plate and bolts into the case.
I hate to not use this Baker as I know it is a $4k transmission, but I am at a standstill. I need help identifying the trans that will bolt to my new frame and hopefully my inner Primary.
I will try to post a few pics as well. And before anyone asks, I don’t know the model of the frame, or the model of the Bigdog donor bike (Big help, right?)
Hoping to find a solution with a reasonable price that I might be able to cover by selling the Baker.
Let me know your thoughts. Thanks

You need to get a trans case and use all the guts from the tranny you have to put into the new case ..

Take my 45 and outrun em all ..

Thanks Dragstew. Is there a specific case I need to fit the baker 6 speed guts in?

That kinda depends on how you want to go ... ?

You can use a softail type case that has the starter ear on the case (Photo below) or use a custom case like the photo I posted ..(Above post)

With having the 107 CI motor (You can do so much MORE with a 4 inch BORE), I strongly suggest having a ele starter ...

So many ways you can go ...

Does it need to be a specific case for a 6 speed od? Or will the baker guts fit in a 5 speed case?

Sixth O.D. gear is housed in the door, you'll be keeping that door ...

Here's an idea, give Baker Driveline a call (517-339-3835) have a pow-wow with a tech about what your wanting to achieve ..

The case was/is available from many manufactures .. Jim's, S&S, Deltron, STD, Baker, Taiwan Best etc ...

You can transplant it into pretty much any 5 speed case, but it is not a bolt-in. You have to do some clearancing and some work to accommodate the six speed shift shaft. You need a copy of the instructions for the Baker 6 speed builder's kit. And the Softail transmission case as in D's pics above would probably be best, because you will need a good starter (if one is not included in your pile o' parts.)

                Say Jim ....

Didn't the 107's use electric compression releases ??
Think they was at 9 to 1 .... Still be a chore to kick unless you're built like the Hulk .. !!

Well, I'm sure not gonna kick it!

I think the 107 was one of the emissions compliant motors (TUV and all that) and so, modest compression and a SHITTY cam. I don't know if they had the compression releases or not. Still gonna need a decent starter as you pointed out earlier.

That makes two of us ..

The starter pick could have a hand on what case you will want to use ...

Have a look at what these Boys have to offer ...

Tech Cycle has been my go-to, when you want it to START.

If he's going to run a open belt, sure would be nice to tie the motor to the trans...
.... Add big time support ....

                        Mild to Wild ....

You have now just stepped into Baskins-Robbins !!!

Thanks for the info. I did get the shiny chrome Bigdog starter in the box.

Not interested in an open belt. Wanted to run a closed primary/chain with a belt final drive. I got all the sprockets with the bike.

You may be able to come up with a complete softail primary used ..
Guys that do a swap to a belt drive have no further need for the Oem parts ..
91 to 99 would most likely be the best years to search for... 89 and 90 still ran the taper clutch hub and are problematic ...
