    Rear fender tail flip

Can anyone link an article or video describing how to get this design element worked into a fender? Looking to see how to go about hammering this into an existing fender. I believe Caleb Owens did this one himself.Click image for larger version

I apologize if this should be in the how-to section

Actually it's where it should be. It would be in the How to section if you knew how to do it. Not how it's done like what you are asking.

Here is my fender flip I did on my bobber. Now that was a bitch to get right. What your going to have to do is get a hammer and a dolly and go at it. I would get an old piece of flat metal and start shaping it.

Any questions I will be watching.

I appreciate the reply. I was thinking along those same lines. I think some practice on scrap is in order.

Edit: I just saw the picture. That’s some great work!

That's the best way to learn. Then get an old bent fender and have at it. It won't take long to figure it out. That is an easy bend. The main thing is to take your time.

Wray Schlein has a 4 part series on a fender build, addresses this in the course of shaping the fender
