Rachet top and rotary top trans interchangeable internals?

I have a rachet top that's missing a few internal parts sitting in a box unassembled, and just pulled my rotary top out of my 84 shovelhead. Can I transplant the internals from the rotary into the rachet top? Same 12.5 inch main shaft in both I belive. Thanks!

FX gearbox internals, no. FL internals, yes. There are details like the countershaft bushings in the case, etc. that may have to be swapped as well. The shift fork carriers are not interchangeable, but the forks themselves are. Devil is in the details.
