    Midstar mech brake

Simply does anyone know what drum is needed to run mechanical brake on a mid star hub?

After trying different brake setups I ended up with both mechanical & juice setups. The juice drum comes with bearing on the inside of the drum but the mechanical drum did not. After mounting the mechanics on the bike it’s obvious that a spacer is missing somewhere in the mix. Just curious if anyone knows exactly what is needed for this setup?

I’ll snag some pics as soon as I can

I don't think you can mix those parts, mainly because of the width of the ball bearing brake drum.

Of course anything can be done with the application of time & money, but it's not a bolt-together deal.

You mean the mid star and mech brake won’t jive together or mixing juice & mech brake parts?

This is essentially what I have for my brake setup. I’m missing a bearing somewhere in the mix ?

          Both, or either.

As you noted, the ball bearing hub has no bearing on the brake side. The bearing is carried in the drum. The drum is too wide for a mechanical brake set-up. None of that is going to bolt together.

if you have a midstar you must have a juice brake for mid star
if you had a starhub you could have a mech or a juice (for starhub)
but no bolt on of mechanical brake on mid star, they are not made to work together without modifications
