Been waiting for the Baker N1 lid to get to me ..

Got a e-mail saying it has been shipped ...
Needed it to be able to weld and flow in to the case ..

Got a world of work yet to do on this Bad-Dog ...

The only parts I have for this tranny is the case, S&S kick cover, the rest will be ordered ..
On the Barker order are a few parts, kick arm & pedal and the kick gears ...

This trans will be seeing life in a 57 Pan ..

Well now ...



Owner wanted to run a "Old Stuff" kick pedal on a Baker kick arm ..
But it seems that Baker got their own gig going on with the arms ...

Might still be able to use the pedal with getting the center pin (Spindle) from Baker and use it in the Old Stuff pedal ..



Got some torch in hand time to do here, bunch of filling in ..





And one hellofa overbite to contend with ... ^^

Should have enough filler to carve out what I want to see ..



Welded up the backside of the bolt holes, going to try to make all the humps match ...

Those who are wondering why the shifter fork shaft lock threaded hole was filled with weld ...
Don't have a need for it due to using the later shaft that uses the e-clip ..

I have a feeling that the owner of this case will want the same services done on it as the one I'm working on ...

Not a clue what he wants done, all he said to me was it's being shipped to you ..

Kinda wild to see so many of these still around, won't be to far into the future they will be in the same boat as the DoDo bird ..

Holy Parts ... Batman !!



Got a world of parts on order .. Some of Jim's, Andrews and V-Twins will be in the soup ..

Since this is scratch build, I'm picking all of the parts that I want to install. (Owner gave me a free hand in this area of the trans)
Like using a 76-up countershaft gear cluster, uses Torrington caged bearing. This move requires the later case bushings/countershaft.



Mainshaft remains 41-76 stuff ..
FX gearing is the plan ... 2.44 1st, 1.35 3rd

Some parts are showing up ..
The motherload is waiting till a few backorders are filled before it will be shipped out to me ..

Just as well still welding and grinding on the case, got a order of belts on the way ..
Won't be long till I'm at the point of starting in on the shine ...



Getting there, need to work the ribs now that they got sunk ...

Dragstew. I've had these sitting in the garage for 15 years. I have no use for them at all. If you think you might be able to use them then their yours. Other wise I'll scrap em.
