Dude Dies attempting to break record *Slams into landing ramp, oooops

His take off ramp looks obviously low, for that distance. I wonder if the
autopsy report will go down as a covid death, wouldn't surprise me if it did.
And check out the Idiot commentator, He's says that the
rider went over the steering wheel, I'm pretty sure the bike had handlebars
    what a jack ass.

Having someone competent run a computer simulation to get the ramp geometry and bike velocity correct would be wise for the next fellow.

I can't fault dying doing what ya like since old age is infinitely worse.

True, but dying old while doing what ya love seems better to me.

There's a cute local call girl with an 85 y.o. client (!) , I think he's planning on doing just that.

Maybe he thought he had someone competent at the computer simulator and either that person or the hardware programmer or both failed.

“It all looked good on paper”.

looks like he thought he'd made it.....doesn't look like he tried to bail out. I wonder if the camera angle make the jump look shorter then it really was?

The angles don't look sufficiently conservative and "lofting" wastes energy elevating the bike best conserved by a long ramp with sufficient height above target so while techically a "jump" the result is more predicable like a "fall". Looks like someone's eyecrometer was poorly calibrated. These shows are just chasing record numbers (like the ridiculous non-motorcycle Kneivel used at Snake River) so no need for theoretical perfection. The audience doesn't care.

I don't want to die doing something I love, that would suck.

I'd rather die doing something I hate so I don't have to finish doing it.

You're the kind of dude that don't give a fuck if the glass is half full or half empty... You just wanna know who the hell drank the other half! Am I right?

It is a dumb way to die.. But, without that spirit nobody would set out across the ocean, or under it.. Or into space.. Over mountains..

So, there's something kind of beautiful about the attempt. Regardless of the outcome.

Who the hell drank it? And who's buyin' the next round, cuz I bought the last?

As far as jumping over shit on a motorcycle, and all other manner of dangerous and reckless stupidity, I say "Why?". Even when life sucks it's still better than being dead. I say- as long as I can ride, fuck, drink beer and eat cheeseburgers, it's worth making an effort to stick around.

Hell, I'm not tryin' to live forever, but I am tryin' to make it to tomorrow.

It would be great if 90% of humanity was born with a relentless need to drive head first into mountains at 100mph minimum.

Don't think it qualifies for entry into Valhalla, tho'.

lol. Yeah.. I have days where I think that might be beneficial, also.

Some days, I should probably be the one driving.
